Hoping to improve the user experience of its customers, the Oxford group launched a massive renovation effort at its Promenade Gatineau shopping mall. The project took place over three phases: a 20 000 ft2 expansion, renovation of the food courts, and updates to all the common areas, including the eight existing mall entrances.
The most challenging aspect of this project was meeting the design needs of each new tenant, all within very tight deadlines. What’s more, the mall needed to remain operational throughout each phase of construction. In 2016, the project earned the Excellence Award from the ICSC.
